STANDING TOGETHER TO STOP VIOLENCE Mission Statement: The purpose of A Way Forward is to help survivors of domestic and sexual violence in Fairfax County, VA transition to safe and independent living by providing assistance for emergency services such as temporary housing, transportation, food and other basic life needs.  A Way Forward also provides limited financial assistance to professional staff for training.

A Way Forward works with several Fairfax County Organizations to help stop violence.  The Office for Women and Domestic and Sexual Violence Services (OWDSVS) serves residents of the Fairfax County and the Cities of Falls Church and Fairfax.  Service providers are sensitive to issues of age, gender, race, disability, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation and gender identity.
